Nomination results · Dubai Rating 2024–2025
We ran the Dubai Rating's Best Russian-speaking Entrepreneur nomination in partnership with World Arabia magazine. Together we compiled a list of the most prominent entrepreneurs in Dubai and let readers nominate their own heroes. In total we gathered more than 120 Russian-speaking entrepreneurs and their businesses and held a public vote.
As always, the best were chosen in the rating's Telegram bot: you could vote for as many nominees as you liked, but only once for each. More than 6,000 users took part in this truly public vote for Russian-speaking entrepreneurs in Dubai. For two weeks we watched with interest as one hero surged ahead by rallying people to vote, and another overtook everyone in the final minutes.
This nomination reminded us once again how diverse and exciting the world of business is, how intense the passions can be and how much human support matters. Here are Dubai's 8 best Russian-speaking entrepreneurs: of course, this list may be incomplete and subjective, but it is the voice of the UAE's Russian-speaking community — and that is the voice we amplify in Dubai Rating.
Vladimir brought one of the most unexpected businesses for a hot country from Russia to Dubai — a proper bathhouse with attendants, birch brooms, steaming and a generous Russian tea ceremony. Within a few years it became legendary and the business a success.
More about the winner
A creative agency with more than 13 years of history, awarded at the biggest international festivals, which in recent years in the UAE has run advertising campaigns for local and international markets, including projects for the Dubai Media Office and Dubai Police.
WebsiteEach category had its own battle: many early leaders swapped places by the end of the vote with those who were nominated only a week after it started. It's especially great that the top included nominees from our partners at World Arabia, nominees from DZCH and those suggested by readers.
Beauty & sport
Dubanya · 689 votes
Authentic bathhouse traditions recreated in Dubai by the book
Communications & media
Fancy Shot · 682 votes
Communication is everything. And it's especially impressive when you can build it not only with people who speak your language but with foreigners too, especially those whose culture differs from yours. The FANCYSHOT team does this brilliantly: in three years the creative agency has run more than 30 advertising campaigns in the UAE in English and Arabic.
Fashion & jewellery
Gemstock · 155 votes
In a city that especially loves jewellery and making a grand entrance, diamonds were bound to find recognition. Gemstock's Dubai office opened in 2023, but even before that the company had become one of the world's largest online platforms for coloured stones — the rarest, most valuable and most expensive.
Education
Algorithm and Paddington · 252 votes
Dubai has plenty of education programmes, but for those who want to keep their native language it matters to be able to study in Russian — at least at weekends or in extra classes. The Algorithm centre offers this to school-age children, and Paddington nursery to the youngest.
Medicine
Samaa IVF · 111 votes
Reproductive medicine in Dubai is developing quickly and effectively. It's part of medical tourism and also a help to local families, who have gained more options thanks to reforms in UAE law. Samaa IVF is an evidence-based centre with internationally recognised specialists.
Food & entertainment
HookahPlace · 277 votes
Entering a market with its own established habits and hookah culture and turning it upside down so thoroughly that even locals take their hats off to 'Russian hookahs' — that's impressive.
Real estate & home
OK Galleries · 92 votes
Dubai's property market is growing by leaps and bounds, but 'standard' interiors are often rather plain and uniform. To make your home your own, you need the right design. Since 2023 OK Galleries has been creating vivid projects in Dubai so that interiors are both comfortable and beautiful.
Special category
Futura Digital · 422 votes
Consulting and legal services are especially relevant in the Emirates, where new companies appear all the time. Since 2022 Futura Digital has been helping companies in digital, gamedev, fintech and media.
We couldn't leave you without a shortlist of the 10 entrepreneurs who received the most votes from readers. In total, more than 4,000 people voted for them — that kind of support means a lot!
